How to Set Up Votifier and Vote Rewards

Voting is the lifeblood of server list rankings. Votifier connects your server to voting sites so you can reward players.

How It Works

Player votes on a server list → Site sends notification to your server → Reward plugin gives the player items/currency.

Step 1: Install NuVotifier

Download from SpigotMC or Modrinth. Default port is 8192 — make sure it's open in your firewall.

Step 2: Port Setup

If self-hosting, forward port 8192 (TCP). If using a hosting provider, check for a dedicated Votifier port in your panel.

Step 3: Vote Reward Plugin

VotingPlugin (recommended): Per-site rewards, vote streaks, vote parties, offline collection.

SuperbVote: Simpler alternative with leaderboards.

Step 4: Configure Rewards

Good reward ideas:

  • Currency: $200-500 per vote
  • Items: Random ore, crate key, XP bottles
  • Streaks: 7-day streak = double rewards, 30-day = cosmetic title
  • Vote party: Every 50 total votes, everyone online gets a bonus

Step 5: Register on Server Lists

For each site, enter:

  • Your server IP
  • Votifier port (8192)
  • Public key from `plugins/NuVotifier/rsa/public.pem`
Register on:
  • ServerList.cc
  • TopMinecraftServers.org
  • MinecraftServers.org
  • Planet Minecraft

Step 6: Test

Use the "test vote" button on voting sites. Verify the vote appears in console and rewards are delivered.

Troubleshooting

  • Votes not received: Port not open or public key wrong
  • No rewards: Player was offline — check your plugin stores offline votes
  • Multiple votes: Each site has a 12-24h cooldown per player
Make voting easy: create a `/vote` command listing all voting links, add links at spawn, and post them in Discord.
